The Cape Hatteras Light at 193' is the tallest brick lighthouse in the USA and is located in Buxton, North Carolina. The original light was a mere 95 ' tall. Around 1851 this light was raised to 150' to provide better visibility. After the Civil War, it was rebuilt to 193' and closer to the water, again to improve visibilty. The tower recieved a new first-order Fresnel lens and put into operation in 1871. Because of beach erosion the Cape Hatteras Light has been moved to safety an now sits at the original distance to the water as it did when it was first built.
Our replica of this light is 30' tall and because the orginal light is the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States this replica will be the tallest on Lake Havasu. This light is located at the entrance to the PWC Ramp at Windsor State Park.
