The newsletter is planned to be issued by e-mail with the Spring of 2011 issue. When brought on line this will minimize the expenditures for reproduction & mailing. Even if we used bulk mailing the cost is high, so if you haven't already, PLEASE take a moment and e-mail your current address to bob@keller.net so we can up date our "Master List" for communication. Also if you know someone that would like to receive our newsletter have them contact Bob and get on the list. If you do not want to be on the mailing list, please reply with the message UNSUBSCRIBE and you will be taken off the list. We can also e-mail other important lighthouse information ie; dedications, outings, etc.

Club Outings & Such
Projects
New Club Brochures have been completed and are available.

The Club continues to work on producing a Tour Guidebook for our lighthouses.

The U.S. Lighthouse Society plans on doing a Tour of the Lake Havasu Lighthouses sometime in November 2012. They expect to have around 35-40 people and we are looking into maybe using the Indian Reservation secondary boat so we could carry all of them on a single craft. The Tourism Bureau is coordinating a planned 2 to 3 day tour for them that will also include our Monthly Club Meeting.

The Balloon Festival will be back again this year and we plan to put up our booth. They have a special fee for non-profit groups. Also one of the Balloon participants said he had a Lighthouse Balloon that he will bring if he can find a sponsor. He wants $2,500 to just blow it up for a static display. If it flies’s it will cost more. Even if we get a $1,000 rebate it would be pretty costly for a non-profit organization and we would have to put together some kind of fund raising program to cover the cost.
The Club has built a Kiosk and it is located in the Bridgewater Channel.
